Need A Little Christmas Tree

$0.00

My designing took a whimsical turn with the creation of these adorable Christmas Trees. I don’t know why but these trees spark a deep seed of comfort and anticipation. I love them and the hopeful feeling I get as I’m tucking them into cozy spaces in my house. The charm of these little trees is - no two are alike. Each has its own character according to your whims. So sweet. Plan to make a lot of them for dear family and friends who just might need a little Christmas right this very minute too.

Construction Overview
This tree is knitted from the bottom up using a small circular needle and moving to magic loop or double points as the circumference of the tree gets smaller. It is worked in Stockinette Stitch with beads between purl ridges. (Note: glittery eyelash yarn can be held with the working yarn on the purl ridges to add a tinsel touch). The tree is then placed over a Styrofoam cone and is filled out by stuffing with fiberfill. The bottom is finished by hot gluing felt and twisted cording along the bottom edge. The tree is finished with embellishments and ribbon.
